The Episcopal church of Rwanda has for the previous months been involved in different activities which promoted its image in the face of Rwandans and the world in general. The Anglican Church opened doors for other protestant churches in the country to start a peace plan which was innovated by Pastor Rick Warren, the leader of Saddle Back Church in America. During his summertime visit to Rwanda Pastor Rick pledged to help the chuch and the nation via education, fighting HIV/AIDs, working to eradicate poverty as well as making peace real in a bid to help Rwanda to become a model of peace on the globe. Also Pastor Warren vowed to suface on the soil of Rwanda next year in 2006. He is to hold other peace conferences, one in the northern part of Rwanda and another one in the eastern part of the country.

In another development, Archbishop Emmanuel Kolini gave out the Parenting
certificates to members of the Mothers Union of Rwanda who completed parenting skills
training in the Diocese of Kigali. President of the Republic of Rwanda, H.E Paul Kagame, lauded
Archbishop Kolini for his efforts in setting in motion the peace conference in Rwanda. The president also hailed and embraced Pastor Rick Warren for his initiatives to make peace real.

Rwanda has scored many important goals in different spheres after the 1994 Genocide, which left over a million innocent civilians dead. Churches, schools,and others places were defiled by the dead bodies and blood stains. These new efforts, many of them begun this summer, have therefore ushered in blessings as the country is being seen and respected by many as the country of Hope, milk and honey, and its thousand hills.
