One Hundred People at the Montreal ACiC Church Startup

Montreal, Quebec- August 29th 2007 – The Venerable Anasthase Kajugiro, an Anglican Archdeacon from Rwanda, launched a new ACiC Church in Montreal Sunday, August 26, 2007, with over one hundred people in attendance. The Rev. Barclay Mayo, the ACiC Network Leader, preached and welcomed the new congregation into the ACiC fold.

"Thank you very much for your message,” said Archdeacon Anathase. “I am praising God for what he has done for us on Sunday. First of all, I am very thankful to the entire community of AMiA and ACiC for your prayers. The devil had tried by all means to disturb our programme, but God is great all the time. We found a nice place of worship just one week before the 26th and that was only by God's intervention.

“On Sunday morning, I was very excited because we have had a good number of people from Quebec City, Montreal and Ottawa,” he continued. “Everybody was grateful to Father Barclay and may God bless him for the good message he shared with the congregation.”

My plans for the future are first of all to continue with worship every Sunday starting from 2.00 PM and prayer meeting and Bible Study on Thursday from 8:00 PM.

Please pray for us to have members to join to our church so that I may have capable vestry members, choir group and its leader and musical instruments."
