Churchville, PA, August 17, 2007 – Michael McTigue, Rector’s Warden of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, has joyfully announced that “the Vestry of the church unanimously called the Reverend Canon Mark E. Rudolph to be our next Rector.” “I am also pleased to announce that Mark accepted the call. After a seventh month exhaustive search, the Search Committee and Vestry unanimously discerned Mark’s call to this position. Mark will begin his duties on September 1, 2007 and will preach on September 9, 2007.” In response to his calling as St. John’s new rector, Rev. Rudolph said, “Thanks to the former rector (the Rev. Phil Lyman), St. Johns has a strong legacy of biblical teaching and solid leadership. Now, in the providence of God, that legacy has been handed off to me. That's an enormous responsibility!"
The Reverend Rudolph has been actively ministering since 1985 as a pastor in the Reformed Episcopal Church in Baltimore, MD, Germany, and locally, for many years, at St Philip’s, Warminster, PA. He currently is a consultant to the Northeast Network of the Anglican Mission in America. He and his wife Lynn and three of five children reside in Sellersville, PA.
St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church is a member congregation of the Anglican Mission in America. The Anglican Mission in America (AMiA) is an alliance of congregations in America committed to gathering, planting, and serving dynamic churches in the Anglican tradition.
