Holy Trinity, Hudson Ohio Names Interim Rector
David M. Nix,
Senior Warden
In consultation with our bishop, The Rt. Rev. Thaddeus R. Barnum, the Vestry is pleased to announce that,
effective October 1, 2007, Fr. Kenneth Bieber, our current Associate Rector, will serve Holy Trinity as Interim. The decision to offer Fr. Bieber this assignment was made at last week’s Vestry meeting by unanimous vote. Fr. Bieber has come to be dearly loved by our parish during his tenure, and his many organizational and pastoral skills have been obvious. Please extend Ken and Diane every respect and form of cooperation as we enter into a most exciting and demanding stage of the ministerial search process. Ken will serve as Interim Rector until such time as a new Rector is in place. Although Fr. Bieber is not a candidate for the open Rector position at Holy Trinity, the Vestry will encourage our new Rector to retain him as Associate, once he is in place.
Doc Loomis will soon be traveling to Rwanda to be installed as Canon Missioner in the AMiA by our archbishop, The Most Rev. Emmanuel Kolini. This new chapter in Doc and Ellen’s life and ministry is an amazing honor and a well deserved recognition of their faith. It will also be very challenging, as church planting and oversight will move forward full time. The task is awesome, but we have an awesome God.
The Vestry has set aside a day to celebrate the Loomis' service to our Lord at Holy Trinity Anglican Church. This day will be Sunday, October 7th. Doc will preach, and the whole Loomis clan will smile for photographs. Following the morning worship service, we will be pleased to honor all the Loomis’ at a reception in the parish hall. Please pray for a sell out crowd that morning, so that we can show our gratitude to God for giving us four incredible years with the Loomis'.
