Celebrating Longevity

Celebrating 10 years of ministry at the Light of Christ Anglican Church.
Members of Light of Christ (TLC) Anglican Church in Denver, Colorado, celebrated the congregation’s tenth anniversary on October 31, giving thanks to God for the way He has used leaders from the congregation to plant churches in other parts of North America over the past decade. Bishop Sandy Greene preached, founding TLC pastor, the Rev. Gerry Schnackenberg, celebrated Holy Eucharist and all enjoyed a potluck lunch afterward.

New Birth in Denver

The "Blood, Sweat and Tears Team" for Church of the Advent in Denver.
Church of the Advent in Denver, a church plant from Wellspring Anglican Church in Englewood, Colorado, held their first preview service on Sunday evening, October 10, with 49 in attendance. Contemporary music, candles, soft lighting and artistic expression created an intentional, reflective atmosphere that is drawing predominantly 20 and 30 somethings to the new church.

A contemplative atmosphere endears a young crowd at Church of the Advent.
While the group is currently meeting at Wellspring Anglican Church, they plan to move to Mi Casa in the established neighborhood of Baker on February 13, 2011. Baker is a diverse, urban environment where middle class professionals live in restored Victorian homes alongside poor Hispanic families. The church hopes to be a source of healing and unity in the historic community.
If you are in the area, join this new church every Sunday evening at 6pm beginning December 5.
