New Chairman for Anglican School of Ministry

currents 20110415 rev dr herb handAnglican School of Ministry (ASM) announces the election of a new Chairman of the Board of Directors, the Rev. Dr. Herb Hand. Dr. Hand, a member of the Board since the school’s inception, is succeeding the Hon. David Young, founding Chairman of ASM and Leader of the Little Rock Network (theAM).

Prior to his ordination in The Episcopal Church in 1993, Dr. Hand was in lay ministry for 14 years. He affiliated with the Anglican Mission in 2003 and has served as planter and pastor of Faith Anglican Church in the Memphis, Tennessee area. He brings a great talent for development and process analysis and will fill a vital role in the next stage of ASM’s growth.

Started in 2007, Anglican School of Ministry is a Three-Streams school preparing men and women for lay and ordained ministry. Students and alumni represent a number of Anglican jurisdictions including the Anglican Mission, the Anglican Church of Uganda, the Anglican Church in North America, the Reformed Episcopal Church, The Episcopal Church and the Church of England. Courses are offered via web-conferencing and are combined with structured mentoring and internships in the local parish. For more information, visit the ASM website.
