Illustrating Resurrection Life at Trinity Anglican

April 28, 2011

currents 20110429Trinity Anglican Mission Church in Atlanta, Georgia, experienced record attendance of over 2,000 for worship services during Holy Week. On Easter Sunday, 25 children and adults were baptized, witnessing salvation in Christ to those gathered.

Seven-year old Finn McDaniel, son of Kris McDaniel, Lead Pastor, took the first plunge into frigid water of Trinity’s baptismal “horse trough” front and center at the 9:30 AM service featuring a standing-room-only crowd. Through a smile of chattering teeth, Finn definitively declared his first and last name and professed faith in Christ, sparking a heartfelt response and ripple of laughter from those gathered.

There is a lot more going on under the surface than meets the eye in those few precious moments at the time of their baptism.”

As Kris prayed prayers of thanks for the choices of each to follow Christ, onlookers got a firsthand glimpse of the true meaning of Easter: redemption and resurrection life though faith in Jesus Christ.
