New Around the Mission
Freedom in the Lord
May 31, 2011
Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Freedom as well as loving unity and the power to heal! In June 2009, Conlee Bodishbaugh stepped aside as senior pastor of Christ Anglican Church, Mobile, Alabama. Since then, he and Signa, his wife and partner in ministry, have not "retired" but rather have been "reassigned" to take the ministry of healing and reconciliation by the power of the Holy Spirit on the road.
To date, this new assignment from the Lord has taken the Bodishbaughs to conference centers in Zelhem, the Netherlands; Rothenburg, Germany; Prague, Czech Republic; Black Mountain, North Carolina; a Dutch Reformed church in Pella, Iowa; Anglican churches in Orlando, Florida and Fairhope, Alabama; a Chinese Christian Alliance church in San Jose, California; an Episcopal church in Surfside Beach, South Carolina; an Evangelical Free church in Lynchburg, Virginia; and a Mennonite church in Cape Coral, Florida.
Recently, Conlee and Signa led a retreat, "The Journey to Wholeness in Christ" in Herndon, Virginia, a suburb of Washington, DC. The conference was held at Church of the Epiphany Anglican, sponsored by Church of the Holy Spirit Anglican, and supported by Christian Fellowship Church. A number of churches representing several Anglican entities were represented in the celebration Eucharist at the end of the conference.
“The service was marked by celebration with abandon at the closing prayer as spontaneous dancing and pure joy were released. The Spirit of the Lord was present!” Conlee describes. “Once again, the Lord proved faithful to His promise to impart the empowerment of His Spirit to His people to strengthen an intimate relationship with Him, be filled to overflowing with His love, overcome strongholds in their life and have their will strengthened to follow Him.”
The next "Journey to Wholeness in Christ" conference is scheduled for October 20-22, at Christ Anglican Church, Mobile, Alabama.
