Bearing Fruit on Summer Outreach 2008
Anglican Mission youth doing their part to fulfill the Great Commission
Summer mission programs not only bless those being served but also provide young people from across the country the tools they need to reach the unchurched and disconnected in communities around the world.

"Most people find Christ before they step foot on a college campus," notes the Rev. Chris Zoephel, Director of YAMiA. "Summer outreach is life- changing for kids because they experience God at the point of faith, when they act on what God wants them to do, whether it is praying for someone, sharing the Gospel, or feeding the hungry."
In 2008, hundreds of Anglican Youth participated in a variety of summer outreach programs:
Youth from Cambridge Church in Leawood, Kansas spent time caring for adults with physical and mental disabilities at Camp Barnabas, as seen on the television show Extreme Makeover Home Edition.
All Saints, Pawleys Island, South Carolina, took a team of high school students to Jamaica where they worked on various building projects that would have taken locals up to fifteen years to complete on their own.
A team from Grace Church, Pawleys Island, South Carolina traveled to the Dominican Republic where they helped to construct a hospital, participate in a feeding program and love on kids living in poverty.
Over 100 students, representing eight Anglican Mission churches, joined Soul in the City Anglican Mission youth outreach in Orlando, Florida where their selfless deeds made a tremendous impact on the local community.
As the Anglican Mission works to reach the unchurched, it is evident that our youth are faithful in actively sharing Christ's love in their own backyard and in distant lands.
